Todd Evans, de Financieres Chelsea à introduire l'idée de la formation d'une Chambre de commerce Chelsea.
L’idée se réalisa à travers ses rapports avec les entrepreneurs et les résidants de la région de Chelsea. À plusieurs occations la nécessité d'une liste ou d'un point d'accès unifié a trouvé dans la conversation.
Le success de la réunion ont appuyé cette idée. Un consensus général a été établi lors de la réunion que, oui, nous tenons à entamer le processus de disposer d'une Chambre de Commerce et oui, il serait bénéfique à Chelsea.
Nous utilisons cet espace pour permettre des commentaires, des suggestions, des discussions et de soutien.

Todd Evans of Chelsea Financial has introduced the idea of forming a Chelsea Chamber of Commerce.
His idea for this came about through his dealings with entrepeneurs and residents in the Chelsea area. On several occations the need for a central listing or access point or unified strength has come up in conversation.
The turnout for the meeting supported this idea. A general concensus was established at the meeting that, yes, we would like to start the process to have a Chamber of Commerce and yes, it would be beneficial in Chelsea.
We are using this space to allow for comments, suggestions, discussions and support.

To start the discussion on the mission and focus of the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce I have copied in a few from other Chambers.
1) The Chamber of Commerce is an association of Kingston area businesses dedicated to Economic Progress, Free Enterprise and Quality of Life.

We stimulate prosperity by promoting tourism, identifying business opportunities, and encouraging new and existing business.
4) The Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce, through its leadership, is committed to continuously promote and foster the business climate and enhance the quality of life in our community.
As a member-based business advocacy organization we are dedicated to providing a strong voice in support of the economic vitality of our community.

Here is the mission statement I quickly came up with to start the discussion on the chambers new statement.
The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to be a unified business community working together with community and government organizations to build a strong holistic community
